Our Beers

Our Story

It all began with a business trip to the Northwest. Jeff Polychronis and Peter Cole, business partners long before Squatters Pub Brewery came to be, had frequented brew pubs and noticed that they seemed to be “the” place to be for a lot of the locals. So after a year-long pub crawl, visiting more than 40 brew pubs throughout the west, and with a swill, a swallow and many nights of appreciating great beer, they decided it was time that Salt Lake had a brew pub of its own. Squatters Pub Brewery opened in downtown Salt Lake City on September 5, 1989.

Mug Club

At Squatters Brew Pubs, we LOVE our regulars, and so we have designed a club to reward our loyal beer-quaffing, suds loving customers. The Mug Club is a members-only club that provides our regulars with benefits not available to other patrons. As a matter of fact, there are so many benefits that we could barely fit them on this page.

Our Beers

Founding partners Peter Cole and Jeff Polychronis were a part of the American brew pub revolution from its beginning in the early 1980’s. Prior to opening Squatters, the pair embarked on a yearlong pub crawl, sampling beers throughout the west. With a swill and a swallow, and after many nights appreciating great beer, they decided that it was time for Salt Lake to have a brew pub of its own. Since that day, Squatters has been proudly brewing high quality, innovative beers that are Good for What Ales You.

Locations

Although much has changed since the first Squatters beer was poured in 1989, we remain firmly dedicated to our original goal of providing our customers world-class handcrafted beer and delicious food in a warm, friendly environment. Enjoy!
